Today, I have some The Skeletal System to add to our anatomy notebooking pages. I could have kept going with this set, but finally had to stop  myself at 19 pages.

The notebooking pages with labeling, I added images already labeled at the end for your convenience.

I hope you all enjoyed the Skeletal System last week. If you happen to do any of the lapbooks, skeletal, cell or muscular, please let me know, I would love to see them and share them here on my blog. Thanks.

This week, I have the Muscular System.

"Of all the wonderful works of the great Architect, none bears such convincing proofs of divine wisdom and goodness as the mechanism of the human body. Every part, down to the minutest fibre or blood-vessel, bears the impress of the Creator's hand, and the marks of design and contrivance are so obvious throughout, as to lead the mind irresistibly to an all-wise, Omnipotent designer!"

Aren't those great words? I couldn't say it better. The human body is just so amazing and the more we read about it, the more amazed I become.

We are also watching these wonderful DVD's put out by Answer's In Genesis and they have been teaching us a lot. They are geared more for high school students so I think some stuff goes over the kids' heads, but other times, they recognize some things from their reading.

A few months ago, I started creating a lapbook for the kids to go along with our study using Exploring Creation with Human Anatomy and Physiology.

I got three chapters done, which I will post in the weeks to follow. I am not yet sure if I will finish the remainder of the chapters. I will try my best. 🙂

Last week, we bought all the candy needed to make the edible cell. Donnie helped me make the jello.

They came out nice. Some of the candies, I think the m&m's and skittles, color ran, but no biggie.

We used a Riesen for the center, because we didn't have a gum ball. We always have Riesens lying around. 🙂 They are just so good.

After, the kids ate their cells. They couldn't finish them because they were so sweet; too much in one sitting.

Here they are after we flipped them over. Silly and unforgettable me, I forgot to grease the bowls, so it was a little tough getting them out. LOL!

Here is a link to make your own edible cell.

All in all, the kids had fun creating their cells.
